Corporate Meetings, Retreats and Team Building

Keener Gill, Region Executive – Southeast, USAA

Our team took full advantage of our stay  at Lone Star Peak Performance. The LSPP team did a fantastic job of accommodating our schedule while ensuring that we were able to complete all of our intended goals. The fireside chats, engagement as a team on the Leader Reaction Course, and  achieving new heights (literally!) on the Ropes Course were highlights.  We wish we had more time to spend at the ranch and are looking forward to coming back!”

Howard Morris, South Central Regional Manager, The Lincoln Electric Company

“Amazing overall experience. The venue was perfect for our group, and the accommodations, catering staff and food was excellent. But most of all, the LSPP staff made sure that all bases were covered and that no detail was left hanging. A first class experience. Thank you.”

Matt Kleiman, Financial Analysis Director, Dell, Inc.

“My experience at Lone Star Peak Performance was both challenging and inspiring. M5 Ranch is a first class facility and the LSPP experienced instructors created the right learning environment to build teamwork and trust amongst the participants. We all left feeling thankful and re-energized with new skills and perspectives to improve the way we lead within our organizations. I would recommend this experience to any group who wants to become a TEAM or any team who wants to become a high performance one.”

Rusty Pepper, President – Strategic Accounts Group, G&G Outfitters, Inc

“When our group of 8 executives arrived at Lone Star Peak Performance we had misguided opinions on each others strengths and weaknesses, but in 24 hours we forged a bond tighter than any of us could have imagined because of the unique team building structure at LSPP. Now whenever a complex task arises we’re able to tackle it as a unified ‘team’ using the many life skills we learned from Lone star Peak Performance. If you are looking for an opportunity to instill some fundamental leadership skills in a group of managers or to refresh your executive management team with leadership skills that truly matter, Lone Star Peak Performance is the place to do it!”

Noah Fink, VP- Sales, Adrenaline

“I was extremely impressed with the M5 staff. The instructors were knowledgeable and friendly. I felt completely at ease working with the professional staff. The curriculum was very well put together and each task had value and helped our experience to be a valuable one. The training facilities were top notch and although challenging, were completely safe and within my comfort zone. Both the lodging accommodations and the food were perfect. While rustic, the lodging was comfortable. The food service was really a highlight. Overall, this is an experience that I would recommend for any group looking to become more cohesive and productive!”

Dave Werntz President, Sabre Surgical

“After four years at West Point and six years as an officer in the United States Army, I was blown away by the program Lone Star Peak Performance offers. It combines many leadership lessons I learned in the military and applies them to making your team a more competitive entity in this ever changing corporate world. I would recommend this to any leader who wants to transform their team into a more efficient, goal oriented organization.”

Matt Breckbill, Region Manager Alamo, Boston Scientific

“My team recently had the honor of holding our biannual meeting at the M5 ranch. I had hopes of finding an environment that provided not only fun, but true leadership and teamwork training. My team and I left completely fulfilled due to the outstanding facilities, training sessions, and curriculum. All of the aforementioned was enhanced even more due to the dedication of the M5 Staff. We look forward to our next trip!”

“The time our team spent at LSPP far exceeded everyone’s expectations. The activities selected helped strengthen our team, allowed everyone to learn something about themselves and each other, and enforced the importance of planning, adapting and executing as a group. Everyone was motivated and eager to apply what they had learned. LSPP and the M5 Ranch have a first class facility with top notch instruction for a truly memorable experience.”

Sherry Miller, Vice President Human Resources, Park Place Dealerships

“I saw character traits come out in several members of my team that made me very proud to be associated with this great group of employees. The tasks at hand brought out the very best in everyone. The facilitators were truly a joy to be around and were there to motivate the teams through their angst (when they needed a little push).”

J. Craig Flowers, Colonel (US Army, ret) Executive VP, APTUS Discovery

“Simply put, truly outstanding and positively impactful. The M5 Ranch delivers a first class experience. Organizational performance will soar and the personal bonds made on the banks of Lake Buchanan (in less than 48 hours) will last a life time. If one is interested in positively impacting employee retention, deepening trust, increasing morale and seeing a ‘real’ return on investment – this is it.”

Shawn Patterson, VP of Construction, Standard Pacific Homes, Austin

“Our team was able to visit M5 Ranch; the weather was hot, staying cool came easy. Our team enjoyed tons of fun on the lake. We also took full advantage of the soccer field and basketball court! The rooms were very nice and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.”

Mikael Lindner, Managing Director, Scania

“Our recent visit to Lone Star met all our expectations in terms of service, location and overall experience. The activities were nicely organized, well instructed and they definitely included the team building aspect that we as a company were seeking. I could see our company visiting again in the near future.”

Melissa May, Human Resources Director, OnRamp Access LLC

“Lone Star Peak Performance was the perfect venue for our off-site session. The facility embodied the beauty of the Texas Hill Country and the staff was excellent! Our team building exercise was centered around strengthening team cohesiveness. The staff did a great job really zoning in on what we wanted to accomplish and designed our exercise to achieve greater unity. For me, the biggest indicator that our outing was successful, was that everyone left the Hill Country with a smile!”

Rick Martinez, Vice President, Campus Planning and Support Services, UMBH

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent with Lone Star Peak Performance. The High Ropes Challenge Course and the Leader Reaction Course exceeded our expectations. We observed traits and talents in individuals not seen before in the workplace. Teamwork was not only encouraged, but strengthened throughout the event. Relationships were developed and reinforced through the team building exercises and just “having fun” together. I recommend Lone Star Peak Performance to any organization that desires to fortify its vision and culture.”

Ryan Barlow, Managing Director, KoverRoos

“Lone Star Peak Performance provided the essential environment that our team needed in order to grow together. From a diverse range of activities that fostered teamwork, trust, and courage to the more intimate atmosphere of the fire pit with the backdrop of the lake and stars, we left feeling unified as a group. With fantastic food, lodging, activities, and scenery, we hope to return once again and further our growth as a team.”

Bertrand Knopf, Senior Vice President, Gemalto North America

“Our team really enjoyed the activities. It was a very good day, where some people met for the first time in a very fun and productive environment, and went beyond their comfort zone at many occasions, relying on their group to succeed. I will definitely recommend your courses!”

Carlys Lemler, Director of Hotel Operations, The Historic Thayer Hotel at West Point

“We operate in a 24×7, 365 days a year industry where teamwork is critical, and we have never taken enough time to work on team building outside of the office, until we visited LSPP.  The three nights and three days of activities were just what our team needed to build, reconnect, and discover more about each other and ourselves.  Along with the incredible views and serenity of being on the lake, we were able to spend time challenging ourselves on the High Ropes Challenger Course, the Texas Ranger Challenge, and Primitive Weapons course.  At each event, we learned something different about ourselves and our team as a whole – and each activity could be modified by each individual to meet the varying levels of physical fitness and health levels of our team. The facilitators helped us to draw meaningful applications that we are now applying back in our role as corporate leaders.

The leadership and team building retreat was the perfect combination of organized activities and time for relaxation and reflection. We spent the day challenging ourselves as a team and as individuals and the evenings in smaller groups choosing from the many activities on the M5 Ranch: skeet shooting, paddle-boarding, sun-bathing, walking around the beautiful property, reading, sitting on the dock with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, sitting in the hot tub or by the fire pit, playing volleyball, or roasting s’mores. There truly was something for everyone to do to relax and refresh at the end of each day, making this an incredible and worthwhile investment in our team for development and health & wellness.”

Chelsey Scoggins, Assistant Director- Mayborn Campus Center, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor

“We had the pleasure of hosting Lone Star Peak Performance at our Campus to perform some amazing leadership training with our fitness center staff. With a predominantly new staff for the fall we wanted to have them participate in some team building events that would not only encourage them to build relationships, but also allow them to expand their comfort zones both individually and as a team. LSPP rose above our expectations for objectives and we look forward to a continued partnership with them for team building events. My staff can’t stop talking about how much fun they had and how much they learned about themselves and each other.”

Non Profit Organizations

Tommy Childress, Combat Stress Recovery Specialist, Wounded Warrior Project

“My experience at the ranch was astounding. Travis and the rest of the staff were so accommodating to the groups needs and the flexibility in all the requests that we put in front of him, he just smiled and made it happen. The activities (especially the 4 wheel drive event) were wonderful.  The instructions were clear and the staff were patient.  Our group loved it. The houses were beautiful and not to mention the location. Over all, I give a A++.”

Kendal Haug, Pastor/Elder, Providence Austin

“Our leaders went out at the ranch for a time of rest, renewal, and encouragement. We were looking for a spacious place to relax, enjoy God’s creation, and be together as leaders. M5 Ranch provided a great place for us to do just that. It was a great for hanging out, preparing and eating meals together, walking around and enjoying the lake, playing some soccer on the field, and had plenty of comfortable beds for all of us. We would love to make it back next year!”

Student Groups

Jeff Fisher, Senior Marine Instructor Midway ISD JROTC

“M5 provided 1st class facilities and their instructors went above and beyond to ensure our training objectives were met. Our Cadets had a great time, forged new friendships, all while enhancing their leadership abilities. Our Cadets are still talking about their experiences and are looking forward to using their newly acquired leadership tools. We highly recommend M5.”

Angela Ucci, Acrobatics & Tumbling Assistant Coach, Baylor University

“Our experience at the ranch was something we could not have produced on our own as a coaching staff. It was great to see the team bond under different leadership and style of instruction. The athletes were able to discover and accept their own strengths and weaknesses as well as their teammates, and they were successful in working together to meet a common goal outside of their comfort zone. The LSPP staff was extremely accommodating and thorough with what the coaches wanted the achieve from the experience.”

Jason Jolly, Athletic Director, Allen Academy

“Our team had an amazing time at the beautiful M5 ranch. We were floored by the first class facilities and spectacular views the property had to offer. The team building activities instilled trust, communication, leadership, and responsibility.  We will never forget the fun we shared, the memories we made, a the bonds that were developed.”

Tashemia Jones, Student Group Advisor, Lone Star College

“From the planning stages to the very end of the retreat, the staff of Lone Star Peak Performance exceeded our expectations. Completing the courses and challenges has strengthened our team, brought us closer together, and increased trust in one another. We all left the ranch feeling like family and one unit! We can’t thank the staff of LSPP enough for all they have done to assist us in making this retreat the BEST ever!”

Graciela Acosta, President, Kappa Delta Chi Leadership Sorority

“Our group LOVED THE RETREAT! Even though the weather caused us to spend be indoors,  we had a great time. The team building activities we did brought us closer together as group and gave us a lot to think about. This is the best retreat we have ever had, and was worth every penny we fundraised!”

“An absolutely amazing time was had by all!  The ranch was the perfect setting for the family reunion/celebration…lots of wonderful new memories were made!  The LSPP staff were delightful and made us feel right at home. Don’t be surprised if you hear from us again, real soon!”

Dinell Jacob

“We had a great time here for our family reunion. Our kids had a great time playing volleyball until the wee hours of the morning. They spent most of the afternoon on the deck at the end of the pier. Was a perfect place for them to gather and the cement ramp into the water was perfect for the little ones to swim. It was easy for Mom (age 81) to get around to watch grandkids and great-grandkids as there weren’t any stairs. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and grill. Plenty of room for a large group!”

Jennifer Roddie

“We recently stayed at M5 Ranch for a small family reunion, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a beautiful, peaceful setting, and the staff was always available with anything we asked for. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you guys so much!”

Weddings

Joseph Koenig

“My new wife and I hosted our wedding at M5 Ranch and had THE BEST TIME! This is a perfect venue if you (like us) want to have a small wedding that lasts all weekend, we had a live band on Friday night, enjoyed the ranch all day Saturday playing volley ball, horse shoes, and ultimate Frisbee. The highlight had to be the second story deck with the diving platform; we used it all weekend and got some amazing pictures of everyone jumping off along with the bride and groom taking the plunge. We had a catered dinner with a DJ on Saturday night and danced the night away until midnight. Sunday was brunch and a few stragglers still on the deck until after noon. We loved M5 and are already talking about booking it again for the ten year anniversary! Special thanks to the LSPP team for taking such great care of our group!”
